Digital Domain Speaker-Michael Lusby

Yesterday we had a guest speaker from Digital Domain and he was great.  He discussed one of their films, "Real Steel," and showed some of the production process.  Mainly, how to implement 3D assets into a live action film and the effort to make it look flawless.  He also had some good stories to tell about his past as well as tips for working in a studio.  Lastly, he watched "Box Forts" and "Flower Story" and was very impressed with our program.  It was such a great feeling to have a professional of such caliber compliment all of our hard work.

BOX FORTS PREMIERES

So the day is finally here and I am beyond excited.  For the past 2 years we have been developing this film and it feels great to be finished.  There were times when I wanted to pull out my hair but the good times made up for it.  Everyone in this production had unique talents and I am curious to see where they end up in the future. As for me, it is time to find a job and start the cycle of a production over again.
